MWAK MEMBERS BOND IN A TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE

Members of the Military Wives Association of Kenya (MWAK) have today Wednesday 7 December 2022 held a team building exercise at Karura Forest in line with their thematic pillar of recreation and wellbeing.

The exercise that involved a 15 kilometer walk and various body exercises was aimed at team building and enhancing the physical health of the members as they prepare to break for the December festivities.

Speaking after the exercise, MWAK Chair, Mrs Tabitha Kibochi hailed the members for bracing the 15 kilometer walk to maintain strong ties as KDF fraternity.

She urged them to continue creating networks saying the roll down of membership to all cadres from the current rank of Brigadier and above is concluded and looking forward to having more members who will require induction from the old members.

“We should be a community that cares for one another. I urge you to reach to one another and touch lives in your own little ways,” said Mrs Kibochi as she wished the participants a happy festive season.

She expressed her gratitude for their support throughout the year and urged them to continue upholding the Association in the coming year with vigor.

MWAK operates under Compensation and Welfare department of the Defense Headquarters which concerns itself with improving the holistic wellbeing of KDF families- both serving, retired, widowed and orphaned with their motto ‘Walking far together’.
