Assistant Chief of the Defence Forces in charge of Personnel and Logistics (ACDF P&L), Major General Muthuri Kiugu today paid a courtesy call to the Military Wives Association of Kenya (MWAK) Executives Committee and leadership at the Mwak secretariat to appreciate the gains and successes of the organisation since its inception.
Maj. Gen. Kiugu was received at the MWAK secretariat by the organisation’s Chairperson Mrs. Tabitha Kibochi and later held a closed-door meeting with the leadership.
During the meeting Maj. Gen. Kiugu appreciated MWAK leadership continuous efforts in supporting military families by emphasizing that welfare for soldiers and their immediate families is a key pillar that enables them to deliver efficiently and effectively in their areas of responsibilities.
He further assured MWAK leadership of KDF unwavering support as they continue on the full implementation of its Strategic Plan which will include: Health, Education mentorship programs, Housing, Veteran Affairs as well Recreation and Well-being.
During the visit, Maj. Gen. Kiugu was flanked by Defence Headquarters Chief of Welfare and Compensation Brigadier John Khaoya and Defence Headquarters Chief of Personnel (DHQ COP) Brigadier Elijah Gatere.
