MWAK in partnership with the Family Bank Foundation, was awarded the 2nd round of scholarships for 50 KDF youth dependent’s to start in February, 2024. The Artisan course will take 6 months, 3 months of learning and 3 months of internship.
MWAK begun the recruitment drive in mid January, through notifications sent out to various units and via MWAK social media platforms. Over 250 applicants applied for the opportunity,informing the demand for such courses.
MWAK Executive and Management Committee on 29th January shortlisted the applications to 76 candidates and thereafter conducted an interview process to determine the final 50 candidates on the 2nd February at Moi Air Base.
The Chairperson, Mrs Aileen Ogolla, in her remarks during the interview process, appreciated all the candidates and the parents for their interest in the course, encouraging the candidates to take advantage of the course as a stepping stone to successful careers, to conduct themselves with integrity, respect and focus. She urged parents to accord the children the necessary support throughout the period.
The course study shall begin on Monday 5th of February, 2024 at Moi Air Base.
