The Chairperson MWAK Mrs. Grace Kahariri led a team of MWAK members in attending the Family Group Foundation KCSE 2024 alumni Awards ceremony. The event was held at the Moi Forces Academy, Nairobi on 28th February 2025.
The ceremony was to celebrate KCSE 2024 high school scholarship beneficiaries for their achievements under the “Tufuzu na Elimu” program. 114 students were sponsored through high school, with 100 achieving the cut off points for direct entry into local universities.
Mrs. Grace Kahariri congratulated the students for their exemplary performance and thanked the foundation for undertaking the noble cause of educating students from vulnerable backgrounds. MWAK has benefited from Family Group Foundation good will with 25 dependants of KDF families currently being sponsored through High School under the “Tufuzu na Elimu” program.
The Chairperson urged the beneficiaries to further their education diligently, “As you step into the next phase of your life, always remember that education does not end here, continue to pursue knowledge, embrace challenges with confidence and remain committed to excellence”.
The chief guest, Principal Secretary, the State Department for Higher Education and Research in the Ministry of Education Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala in her remarks honored MWAK for their transformative role in ensuring that the welfare of the dependants of KDF personnel is taken care of.
