MWAK CHAIRPERSON MRS. GRACE KAHARIRI PAYS A COURTESY CALL TO CLOSE THE GAP ORGANISATION

On Friday, 20th June 2025 MWAK Chairperson had an opportunity to visit Close the Gap Headquarters in Mombasa. Close the gap is an institution that offers Digitrucks all over Africa. In today’s digital world, connectivity is more than a convenience—it’s a gateway to opportunities in education, business, and society. Yet, millions remain excluded, widening the digital divide.

The visit is in line with the proposed Vocational Training for the Vulnerable and Vocational Computer-Based Training for Special Needs Children dependants of KDF personnel to the remote areas.

At Close the Gap, they are breaking these barriers with their state-of-the-art mobile digital classroom—a fully self-sufficient, solar-powered, and connected learning hub on wheels.

Designed to reach even the most remote communities, the Digitruck ensures that no one is left behind in the digital age. Their mission is simple: bridge the gap between opportunity and accessibility, bringing digital empowerment to everyone, everywhere.

MWAK will soon be signing a partnership MOU for them to support our Dream, which is becoming a reality soon to have TVETS on wheels.
