WHO WE ARE

TOGETHER WALKING FAR

Blue-Separator-Line-Image

Formation of Military Wives Association of Kenya was motivated by observing gains achieved by similar global military spouse associations, in Nigeria, India, Pakistan and USA. These prompted spouses of senior KDF officers to come together with unity of purpose to address the soft issues on service delivery to the KDF families; those serving, retired, widows and orphans.

MWAK was therefore founded as a vehicle for interaction and exchange of ideas now serves as a support system to KDF families complementing mainstream KDF Welfare Agencies programs based on the premise that, a soldier performs best when he is assured that his family is well taken care of.

MWAK shall develop a road map through an action plan specifying activities to be undertaken each year. This being the first strategic plan, we choose to remain selective and focused on the areas that are most critical and where we can make the greatest impact in promoting the welfare of KDF families.
