Health Pillar
In a bid to systematically inform decision making on welfare action points in 2021-2022, a team of MWAK members undertook an assessment of Medical Reception Stations( MRS), Base Medical Centers( BMC) and military sponsored schools.
The aim of the assessment was to support the development of a social welfare programme to improve the already existing welfare programmes within KDF.
KDF provides basic and specialized medical services to its personnel and their dependents.
Although Directorate of Medical Services has invested heavily in medical infrastructure and equipment, the marked growth in the number of KDF personnel and families, coupled with the changing trends in medical practices, the provision of medical services requires interdisciplinary health personnel and innovative solutions to achieve the best possible health care outcomes.
Maternal Health care is a key determinant of a mother and child health, hence there is need to ensure awareness among users in addition to improved service delivery.
